Winfred Winans, 83, of Strong passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, AR. He was born on August 9, 1935 in Strong, AR to George Arnold and Nora Wooten Winans.  Winfred worked as a delivery man for Amerigas Propane Company. After retiring he enjoyed planting a vegetable garden. Keeping little for himself he shared his bounty with his friends and family in the community. Winfred loved visiting with friends, keeping up with the happenings of the community of Strong, and hanging out at Jerry's Pawn Shop in Strong.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marzel Poole Winans; brothers, Chauncey Winans, Thomas "Bill" Winans, and George Winans; and sisters, Eloise Gilmore and Marie Bell. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Wendy Langston and her husband Ed; and granddaughters, Riley Langston and Summer Langston.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at New London Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at New London Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
