Obituary
Z L Guthrie, 79, of El Dorado passed on to be with the Lord in Heaven on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at his home with family under the care of Hospice.
He attended Westside Assembly of God. He worked the Pipelines for J W Operating for 10 years and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. Was a jokester and no matter who he met could always make you laugh.
He was born April 14, 1931 in Blytheville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Melva June Guthrie, his parents Doc Guthrie and Vergie Dupon and one brother C B Guthrie.
He will be loved and missed by his surviving family including his children, and their spouses, Patricia and James Grinnet, Carolyn and the late Duke Wilson, Rickie and Debra Guthrie, Ray and Margaret Guthrie, Garvis and Paula Guthrie, Shelia and Terry Graves and Roger Guthrie; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Monday, July 12, 2010 at Perry's Funeral Chapels in El Dorado.
Funeral will be held 2PM Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Perry's Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Jason Yarbrough officiating.
